I go to school in california right now and hope to stay for grad school, will I have a disadvantage applying to dental schools in california?

You'll have an advantage when applying to UCLA and UCSF if you're a CA resident.

I don't necessarily understand what you're trying to ask?

In terms of state schools, UCLA and UCSF, you will be at an advantage when you apply if you are a California resident. As for the privates such as UOP, USC, Western, LLU, and such, they weigh you just as much as OOS applicants. The reasons these schools may represent a large percentage of CA residents is due to the applicant pool the school receives and the school's location.
