I have my interview at UOP coming up near Feb 20th. Any suggestions? What kind of questions do they ask? how does it typically go? It's for the alternate position. I'm just hoping that list moves quickly and I'm not too deep down the alternate list. I keep hearing in this forum that it's very informal and kick-back, but is there any kind of questions that I should prepare myself for? Your feedback is appreciated.

Try to make yourself stand out and the most competitive interviewee as you can. Gluck.

the interview day is very relaxed, you will have a 1 hour interview with a faculty, expect them to ask you questions from your application... you will also have a 30 minute interview with a student (the student also may ask you some questions from your application but they are usually a more laid back interview) i really recommend having plenty of questions to ask your interviewers and the admissions staff who talk to you before and after your interviews....

I knew your name looked familiar. Before you said you had the same status as many others "final review"

How long after did you notice that status and getting call for interview?

The interview was very much like a conversation (both student and faculty). The faculty member literally told me he just wanted to make sure I didn't have a third eye and that I can have a conversation with an adult. He talked about my research, volunteering, and grades.... So unless there is something you have to explain you don't have to do much talking there. Only questions he asked me was "would you practice in your hometown??" Andddd "do you wanna specialize??" I could tell he wasn't looking for a specific answer just wanted to know how I think.

Hope that helped 🙂 good luck!!!

They want you to ask a lot of questions too, so come prepared to ask a lot. It's your time to interview them too.

From the final review date that shows in the app status to the call was exactly 10 days.
