We (married) have filed for the lottery for a 1B unit, but heard it's really up in the air whether we get or not.
I think it is cheaper than the market rate(?), and an in-house gym and lab seem pretty good to us.

For those who has lived in the Pacific Apartment, how is the experience like, would you recommend it?

Definitely take it if you can get in.

I would advise you to take it if you get it. At least live there for a year, and if you don't like it you can always move out, but you can't move in after the first year if you decline it initially.

A few more questions:

How is street parking like around the apartment? Possible to keep a car if I don't get the apartment parking?

I don't know how old the building is and I know this is no luxury suite.. but is the apartment reasonably well-maintained?

Thanks!

Finding street parking around housing is about as easy as choosing your own parents. When you can find parking you have about a 50/50 chance of getting your cars windows bashed in.

FYI, the lab sucks.

Not to say that it didn't save my bacon several times 1Y and 2Y, but don't expect to make much of a difference during your preclin years.

I was hoping it would help me since I feel my crafting skill is nothing to brag about.

Still, I am glad to find out I will have a 1B apartment there! I wonder what furnitures would it fit.

Congrats to those who are done. If you have unwanted furnitures for sale, I'll be interested!
