Hey wsup guys. For all those who r applying to UOP for Fall 2011, what r u guys writing about in your personal statements? It seems they'd want you to write about specifics regarding that school and why one would apply there as opposed to another school. Like what UOP offers that makes them stand out. Im actually not quite sure about this one, even after perusing their website. The only reasons I can think of are that it's located in Cali, the program is 3 years, and it's just known as a great pharm school through word of mouth.

Any input would be great. Thanks a lot guys!

read up on the school a little more... read their mission statement, learn about their graduates... even find organizations they have on campus that interest you. you have to dig a little deeper than the fact they're a 3 yr school and located in california (i'm sure those reasons have been used numerous times by now 😛)

Ya the reasons I gave were lame. I knew it wasn't something I would write in an essay even though those r the real reasons I'm applying.

Just to be honest with you. I don't think anyone is going to answer your question. Getting into UOP is very competitive, like any pharmacy school. I'm just not sure why someone who is applying for the same school would give you their answers. You have to come up with something unique. If you really want to know more about the school you should set up a tour or call the school and find out yourself. 🙄

Capitalize on the fact that even though your reasons are common and unoriginal, it's the honest truth. Bang, you're in.

Are you talking about the supplemental essay? If not, then from what I read, the personal statement should be general and not specific to any school.😕
