Does anyone know what the acceptance rates are for post-December interviews at Pacific? I have an interview scheduled for UoP January 23rd, which I'm ridiculously excited about, and I know UoP doesn't give out many interviews and has high pre-December acceptance rates, but I'm wondering what the odds are after December 1.

Any insight would be much appreciated - I've already had a couple of interviews, but Pacific is my top choice so I'm hoping people interviewing in January still have a decent shot!

I have a few friends at Pacific who interviewed post December in the last cycle and they got in. Best of luck!

I have an interview January 19th and I am wondering the same thing! I am pretty sure we are in the clear for alternative spots, but def are close to the last few interviews UOP gave out. Last year 100% of those interviewed were accepted.

Congratulations on your interview! Yea, I had read some threads from previous cycles about how people who were called for interviews late in the cycle were specifically told if they were interviewing for a spot on the alternate list rather than for an open seat in the class. I called Janelle at Pacific last week and asked her for which of the two I would be interviewing - she said they can't say for certain until after the deadline for Dec. 1 acceptances to make their first deposit (mid-January) passes.

I guess I'm just hoping for insight as to whether the class has filled up before February in previous cycles....January 23 can't come soon enough!

isn't pacific really expensive? like 365k? the school worth that much to attend? just curious!

Well at the pre-December interviews they were telling us like 96-97% will be accepted. ADEA guide states about 66-75% overall.

The key is to find out how many seats are filled by the Dec. 1st acceptances and I would think that varies from year to year.

Good luck!

We'll see how that turns out on Dec 1st! :xf:

True. When I called UoP and asked Janelle Palomares about this, she didn't say how many Dec. 1 acceptances they'll give out, but she did say that they typically have about a 70% retention rate for the people they accept. So I guess we won't really know how many seats will still be available until the 1st deposit deadline rolls around for those Dec. 1 acceptances.

I'm wondering if they are more selective with the people they interview post-december or if the acceptance rate is just as high, and they just defer those accepted later to the wait list once seats get filled up...
