I have currently finished my first year of college at a state school as a biology major and I'm thinking of transferring to University of Pacific for their pre dental program because that is what my career choice interest involves. I did okay my first year in both chemistry and biology with receiving B's in both courses , both lab and lectures. I have also shadowed and worked as an assistant in a dental office so Im not concerned with whether or not my interest would change towards pre dental or about how I wouldn't get a bachelor degree. I guess my major concerns are if it will be worth it or even if I have a chance at getting in the program. Any advice would help on what to do or even how to better my application if I were to apply. Also for those that are in the program how do you feel about it?

You should strive for A's in your subsequent science classes (I'm not suggesting you aren't putting your best foot forward) to bring your BCP GPA higher than 3.0 and I would probably stick it out at the state school to keep your undergraduate debt low.

Your Bs already disqualify you for their program. They want a minimum S gpa of about 3.25 when you go into one of these ultra competitive programs. And I can assure you that many of the applicants will probably have 4.0 gpas.
I would advise you to skip it and focus on getting in the normal way.

I was in the program. Like others said above, it's not guaranteed. You need a minimum 18 DAT in all sections and a 3.25 BCP GPA for 2+3 years, 3.15 for 3+3 years, or 3.05 for 4+3 years in order to guarantee an interview. But that's it, it guarantees an interview not an acceptance.
I felt it was too competitive. It's very hard to get an A in the majority of classes you take due to curves and being in classes with other pre-dental/pre-pharmacy students. Many of my friends felt the same way. While I was there, I did not see many easy A science classes. Even in the ones considered easy, most people ended with a B+ or A-. The GPA requirement above was very hard to hit. I ended up taking a postbacc atfer my time there in order to make myself a better applicant. If you are a particularly gifted student or have a strong interest in the sciences, the program is doable but if didactics don't come easy to you then expect to struggle.
