hi...... ive got an interview call from uop.....i've heard about their tests and from what i've heard nothings kinda easy....like they grill u and finally dont accept,is that true...has anyone been there before how was it like what r the chances of getting accepted......i live in the east coast i rrreally have to think of going to UOP (financially)any info will be highly valued

I got the call too for UOP. I also want to know the answers to the following questions. Esp., how difficult is it to get. UOP certainly is one of the most expensive schools and I am thinking twice about this interview. When is your Interview Shilpi? It looks like its a 3 day process and the acceptance rate is so low. Want to find out the details around these tests and tips..

Shilpi,

Can you post your scores. Mine are 89, 260 and 3.71. Did you get calls from other schools?. Do you know any one that has gone through this grill?. Do you know what was the acceptance rate for this program?. Also looks like UOP is the most expensive program in West Coast.

Hi UBD,

Dont know much as to attend or not?. Too expensive but 2 year program makes it attractive. Right now not started any preparation. But once I make up my mind to go for Interview, I may have to see if I could go to some Dentist office (Call as many) to see if I could use their facility (Because I dont have compressor). what about you UBD?. Which country are you from?. What are your scores?. Any other schools called you?. I also got a call from UPenn (Looks like they call every one that applies!!). Good luck to you.

same is the case with uop they have called many ppl. yes uop is very expensive. i think there is nothing wrong in going for the interview ! u never know u might change ur mind! well, i'll be going for the prcatice session at uop. any idea wat they ask? i have heard about class II and crown preparations but don't know which ones!
i m not gonna tell u my scores but for sure they r less then urs !
anyways , let me know if u find out if u know wat do we have to prepare for!

hi ubd where do u live?i mean i live in east coast so i really think of even going for the interview there(anyway i havent confirmed with them so going now is out of question),dont ask me why i applied though.i have heard from someone that the interview is really tough.....anyway i am not going for the interview and also i dont know how to prepare crowns never done that while in my school....

Did any of you guys UOP applicants had to translate anything?

'cause UOP is about the only school that requires documents to be translated by a US translator. The rest is fine with any authorized translator. I already have all my translations done by someone from my country, and I don't really want to pay again for another set of translations done.

What do you think?

Just curious, what language is used in Indian dental schools?

I know this is a late repply to your post, but just out of curiosity without any intention to offend you: how is it that you didn't prepare crowns in school? What did you do to abutments in fixed prosthodotics then?

Seriously this only curiosity, I'm not cuestioning your education at all.😎
