So you can put upto 4 LORs on ERAS. But most programs say 3 LORs are required. Should you put only the amount required (3) or put 4?

ALso, im goign into Ortho. I have a bunch of Ortho LORs uploaded >4 and some general surgery LORs. Should I send all 4 LORs from Ortho or do 3 Ortho + 1 General Surgery? Is it better to send all LORs from the same field or at least one from a seperate?

Lastly, many Ortho programs deadline is Oct 15. Does it also apply for Dean's Letter?

Please reply ASAP....I need to submit my LORs by this Saturday. Thanks and good luck to you all!!!!

Do you have any LORs from cavemen? If not, I guess 4 ortho letters will have to do.

But seriously, if you have 4 great letters from your specialty, especially one that can be as picky as ortho, submit them. And unless the program says "only 3" or "no more than 3" letters, just submit 4.

Also, I don't know about ortho specifically but in most other specialties, the bulk of applicants had their letters (and most of the rest of their app, sans MSPE) finalized 4-6 weeks ago...what's been holding you up?
