I've been digging through the forums, but can't seem to find information answering my specific question about update letters:

Is it a good udea to send an update letter to tell a medical school that, since filling out the AMCAS application, you have graduated (I graduated in December) and gotten X grades in Y classes. I have also applied for an internship at Bassett (of Columbia-Bassett fame... I'm a local to that area). Or should I only mention this if I actually get the internship? Please help! 😕

In my experience (since I have sent update letters) they never hurt. The only thing that they can do for you is help you, because the worst the ADCOM can do is just throw it away. Go for it, and attach a transcript as well. Also write about why you want to go to that particular school.
