Update on fatal TPN solution

Remember the story a few weeks ago about the 9 patients in Alabama who died from mysterious infections that were traced to their TPNs? Further investigation has discovered that the TPNs were mixed in a container that had been washed with tap water.

I would really like to know how THAT happened. 😕

This is just another example of a back ordered drug gone wrong... I think?! I might have to go in and do some IV work this weekend, and we having to use Clinimix right now, which costs more! Because the regular amino acid stuff is unavailable.
Just a hunch...

I hadn't heard about that, just a shame. An error that shouldn't happen.

We ran out of MVI a couple weeks ago, heard it'll be over a year before more is available.

We were lucky enough to get 50 boxes in right before it ran out. 😍
I guess we're probably contributing to the shortage.
