Sophomore - Health Science major
GPA: 3.5
sGPA: 3.53
MCAT - taking next year
Shadowing: Ongoing shadow of a Family Physician ~150 hours / Hoping to shadow a specialty physician.
Volunteering: Volunteer in the cancer institute at the local hospital once or twice a week.

*I am really liking Oklahoma State University Medical School. I live in Wichita, Kansas, so Tulsa is really pretty close for me, and want to stay in the rural type setting in the midwest. I have heard really good things about the school. I was thinking about doing the Early Decision Program (EDP) for this school. Would that help me to get into OSUCOM? What else do I need to work on? Thanks!

let's see, you're OOS, and your GPAs are well below the median (3.8) for both sGPA and cGPA for OK. So, I'd say stick to KS, unless you get a rocking high MCAT score (like >33)

Being only a Sophomore, do you think I still have time to make that 0.2 GPA up?

Yes, I am talking about the DO school. I was thinking it was around like a 3.6. Any thoughts?

Wait, what? OSUCOM is 3.6/3.5 average with a 26 MCAT.

OP, there is no EDP for OSUCOM, so chances are zero even with 4.0/4.0/45
