Does anyone know if there's a need to have the people writing your LORs to update it beyond a date? I flipped through last year ADEA school guide and none of them make any mention of wanting reapplicants to provide updated LORs. I haven't gotten this year's guide yet.

I'm sure some schools keep previous years applicant files while some don't.

I know my people will be ok with it but I hate having to ask them to put together something new to say the same thing.

It would only be to your benefit to get the letters updated. If you know your professor, dentist or whoever you had write your letters go and ask them to update them. Hopefully, you have at least kept in contact with them a little bit (unless you moved away from the school or area). If you have shadowed more or taken more classes from the professors have them add or change some things. If you feel like you can get someone else to write a stronger letter than one that you asked last year then do that. But I don't think there is any real answer here. I am sure they will except anything you give them. Will they notice they are the same? Some may and some may not...
