Hi,

I got my USMLE Step 2 CK score a month ago (99th percentile) and it is significantly higher than my Step 1. I retransmitted my updated score report through ERAS but I am not sure if programs updated my file, especially those I interviewed with earlier in the game.

As the rank lists are being finalized, would it be a good idea to send e-mails to programs that I'm really interested in to give them the update and express my interest? Thanks for all the responses!

Yes- update it on ERAS but also send the PC and perhaps PD a direct email with the attached report. I say perhaps the PD because it sounds like reviews of applicants are actively happening at this point.

When you say 99th percentile, do you really mean that? Or a 99 2 digit score, because those are two very different things.

The mean for 2CK is 240 with a standard deviation of 18. The 99th percentile is 282.

They didn't even give a two digit score on my step 2 ck report because people have been confused about this for generations. So I assume the OP is talking about a percentile (if so good job OP).
