I haven't taken the DAT in a few years and wanted to know if there were any updates to it?
Any new features? I read there may be a highlight feature on RC.
What buttons are on the QR calculator? Square/cube root? Square or cube?
Did they add a calculator to the General Chem section by chance?
Do they still only offer one sheet of scratch paper?
How long is the break?
Any material removed from sections? I read trig and geometry may have been removed from QR?
Any topics they really like you to focus on while studying?
Any new PAT types?

I've been using Chad's, DAT boot camp, some Khan Academy, Cliffs Bio and notes I've made.

I've got an old DAT Destroyer (2011) version. Will this still be sufficient?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you do get a highlighter(yellow) on the RC section. Use it wisely, you also get a strikeout feature.... put the cursor on an answer choice and right click, a thin black line will cross out the choice.

For calculator, I barely used it so I don't know if they have square roots, cube roots, etc. My exam didn't have any trig or geometry, but I read on this website that some ppl did get trig/geometry... dependso on the version you get.

Break is 30 mins.

For the pat section, it would be exam number 11 on boot camp if bootcamp offered 11 exams. Very similar.

No calculator for general chemistry.

They gave me 2 blue papers that were in grid format and 2 expo markers, make sure you close it with the cap because it drys out really quick, they also told me that I can't write on them during the tutorial or the break.

If you do destroyer and bootcamp, you should able to get a decent score. If you use them properly!

The buttons on the calculator should be the same as a Window calculator in standard mode (pretty limited in terms of function). It will look like this:

No calculator for gen chem section. You get 2 pieces of laminated graph paper. Break is 15 minutes. Trig and geometry might be removed but that seems to vary be version currently, I don't think topics have been removed from the other sections. There are new topics in the QR section related to data analysis. No new PAT sections, though I do believe the section has gotten tougher over time.

Overall your prep should be pretty similar - aside from QR there haven't been drastic alterations to the content the exam covers.

Calculator for QR was exactly like everyone is saying except it did not allow you to enter scientific mode. You could not use sqrt cube root etc.
