Updating the date on Interfolio LOR's?!

Question:

I am reapplying this cycle- if I re-use last years letters which are stored on Interfolio, will the date be updated? Or will I have to email LOR writers to re-submit letters with the updated dates?

Also-
Does a 2018 LOR look bad? If so, (and assuming I cannot update the date without contacting writers again) is interfolio even worth using at this point?

From what I’ve heard, adcoms strongly recommend updating LOR’s.

Thanks for the reply. Thats what I have generally heard too- although some say 1 year old is fine 🤔
Any ADCOMs out here that can comment?
