Does anyone have any information on the program? Thanks

I'm guessing you've already seen this, but if not here's the site:

This might be helpful too:

I'm planning on applying to various special masters programs for the Fall of 2005 and I hope to matriculate in 2006 so I don't think I'll be able to do a master of bioethics program. However, if I decide to take a lag/glide year after doing an SMP and I can get the money to do so, I'd love to do a 1-year bioethics program.

I don't think bioethics masters programs are the best option if one is trying to make up for either cume or science gpa shortcomings. However, if that's not a problem then I'm sure it would be a great opportunity.

Also, if you've got a good app as it is and you're really just interested in getting a bioethics degree as well as doing med school, you might want to consider some of the combined MD/MA programs. I know Case Western has one (four years I believe), Pitt has one (five years I believe), and I think Georgetown and Penn have 5 yr combined programs as well.

I do not know much about the program but I am interested in it as well. Aug2004, post any information you might have. I am strong all around except for a lousy verbal reasoning MCAT score. It is not of much use for me to do a science masters because I was a Biochemistry major, and I did a fine job. So I am interested in trying something new outside the realm of science. Gracias,
