UPenn Interview Advice

Hello!

I just scheduled an interview with UPenn, and I was wondering if anyone had any advice for it (what to wear, what questions they ask, what they do, etc.). ANYTHING would be helpful!

Also- I'm looking for a place to buy a business suit (on skirt suit and one pant suit) that also alters. If you have any advice for that, please let me know!

Have you checked out the interview feedback for UPenn here on SDN? I find the interview feedback pretty helpful. I got my suit at Target. It's a nice suit, lined, I'm getting the pants altered for my next interview. I looked at more high end stuff at dept stores, banana republic, etc...but they didn't fit right or look right on me. And I'm a pretty normal gal...

im a female and i wore a suit. there were 16 people being interviewed that day and i believe 8 interviewers. the interviews varied a lot bt the interviewers so i cant really tell you what they'll ask, but my interviewer, dr. scott derossi, was really nice and basically just had casual conversation with me about my undergrad school football team. he didnt really ask anything about penn or dentistry, so i think they try to get a feel for your personality moreso than your b.s. skills. good luck!

At your interview, did they mention anything about your chances of getting accepted once you get an interview?

im assuming its something to the degree of 1 in 2 maybe 1 in 3 as its rolling admissions and the chances of someone having crazy stats are not as high as someone applying later when interview spaces are filled.

I tried calling in a few times but for some reason I would get the answering machine every time (even during working hours). I finally scheduled an interview this past Monday. The lady said they would be sending me a letter in the mail so hopefully it'll come next week!🙂

they did mention how many people they accept out of how many are interviewed, but i cant remember what they said. i do remember that the odds of getting in after having an interview are really good and getting an interview is the hardest part of the process. im sorry i cant remember, but im pretty sure the odds were better than half and they will probably include it during their presentation again this year!

Definitely Nordstrom. They look much nicer than anything you'll get at a cheaper mall store, and they alter for free. There are Nordies all across the country too, so wherever you are you should be able to find one. If you happen to stumble across a sale, you'll be in luck.

Which section did you get a 17 on for the DAT?

Wow, I guess your high GPA and great DAT scores gave you away for the interview.
