Can somebody who has already interviewed for the UPENN Special Science Post-bac let me know what to expect? Is the interview similar to a medical school interview? Are there any specific questions you remember? Also, if anybody did the phone interview, how was your experience with it? Thanks in advance....

Hey number66,
I did a phone interview for the Special Science program with Dr. Cecatti about a month ago. The interview was pretty laid back and lasted about 30 minutes. It seemed like Dr. Cecatti just went through my resume/vitae and asked me questions related to my volunteer work, extracurricular activities, etc. He also asked me how i thought my volunteer/extracurricular activities might benefit me as a future physician. Then he asked me about what classes I might like to take in the Special Science program, and that's about it. Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot, it does help.
Hi there,
Do you take grad classes or extra undergrad classes? Do you get a certificate for this? Does this link you to med school?

I interviewed at Penn's program 2 years ago. They asked me the standard questions:

Why do you want to be a doctor. Why medicine.
What makes you think you're suited for this.
What in your mind, differentiates a good doctor from a bad doctor?
Do you think you'll be a good doctor, and why?
Why are you leaving your former job?
Tell me about a time when you... showed leadership/struggled/failed and overcame it/etc. etc.

Good luck!
