My understanding is that UPENN requires 2 letters from professors in your major? Is this a recommendation or a strict requirement even if your major is non-science. Or will the typical 2 science (chem/bio/physics) work too?

I was a double major so I did 1 from each major since they weren't really specific - 1 science and 1 philosophy to be exact. You should probably do the same - 1 science and 1 from your major.

I'm a bio major and I did 1 bio 1 chem 1 phys. It's not strict like that I don't think.

Going to Penn this upcoming fall. I majored in neuroscience and had three rec - two science (bio & my research) & one non science. My research credit was included as part of my major but I don't recall Penn being that strict as long as it was two science.
