UPenn requires that you write 4 mini essays..
Is a paragraph enough to answer each question? or Do they want a page-long essay?
What did you guys do for the application?

Thanks.

I think there was numerous posts.. in response to your question. Try searching 🙂! I think some people said they wrote a page long for each answer.. some said they only wrote a small paragraph. It's up to u!.

I wouldn't stretch the responses into a page. There can't be much more that needs to be written in addition to what's already on AADSAS.

Yea I just worked on them. They can get pretty long >.< ... Even though I just finished the supp app for UPenn, I can't even send it out because I dont even know my SAT scores.

Anyone know what you're gonna do about the SAT scores they request? I have no idea what I got on mine over 5 years ago lol. I tried emailing college board to see how to find out my scores.

Upenn asks for SAT scores now? I thought only Havrard is the only one interested in your HS transcripts.
I think you can log into collegeboard.com and retrieve your SAT scores.

Yeah they ask for SAT or ACT scores, but we don't need to give them a score report or anything, just the numbers. I actually found my scores on my unofficial transcript that's on my account at my undergrad school, so if that's an option, try looking for them there!

Yea, your SAT scores are most likely on your college transcript (unofficial). Mine were at least.

I answered all the questions in less than a page. I hope they appreciate brevity. 😛

I'm with you- mine were a paragraph or so each...I don't see how or why people would have turned each of them into a full page apiece...I would think since adcoms read tons of them, they probably DO appreciate if we can convey our responses succinctly. 🙂

Thanks for replies..
I wrote one paragraph for each questions..
If they decide to invite me for an interview, I'll tell them more about it!

Whoops. Mine is 3 pages long! Hopefully I don't bore them too much =(

My thoughts exactly. If my chances of getting accepted are so low that writing short, non-eloquent answers will completely ruin them, I'd rather not waste my time, money, and optimism on an interview.

What do they expect us to write for the first question?

I wrote all my dental related activities on AADSAS?

anyone?

I wrote paragraphs for each one.. these ppl have to read thousands of essays.. show them you can say what you want in a concise manner.. it will get more attention that way.

I made a table and listed the things they wanted.
I went to my bro's d school and did some stuff after I e-submitted my application so I wrote that.

And I kept my answers to a paragraph for #2 and #3 but ended up writing 2 more paragraphs for the last question.

I mailed it out last week so hopefully I'll hear from them soon..

I wrote like 2 pages for the 'teamwork question', and I rehashed all my dental school experiences that were in AADSAS, but put in more details that I couldnt fit into my PS (that was another page). I forget the other questions, but I wrote a lot, and I got in.
