I plan on retaking the GRE's and hopefully scoring higher. There is some disconnect between my SAT and GRE.
Any ideas on if i can get in?? Also i am currently taking classes that will raise my Sciences gpa to a 2.8 and my overall to about a 3.2. Should i send out my apps as soon as possible or should i wait until the end of the semster (may 12) when my app is a little stronger, but i'll be closer to the deadline (June temple July pcom drexel). Im pretty sure these are all rolling so applying early helps. THanks!

Do you think graduate-level admissions people really care about your (unimpressive) SAT?

An application must contain all of the following in order to be considered complete:

  • Completed application
  • Current resume
  • Non-refundable application fee of $70.00 (Pay online or make checks payable to the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania).
  • Application essays
  • Official transcripts from each post-secondary school attended, sent directly to LPS address on bottom of page
  • Score report for the SAT, ACT or GRE. In addition, if you have taken the MCAT or DAT, you must sent a copy of those scores.
  • Two letters of recommendation from professional or academic associates, or an employer
  • Copy of AMCAS application, if you have previously applied to medical school
From here. :prof:

Sorry OP, I have no clue about your chances.. just perturbed by the rude guy. Best of luck, hopefully someone who knows about this stuff can weigh in 😎

*edit: UPenn needs to fix their spelling error

thanks crasiman. I appreciate it.
I know my stats suck. I just need to get into a good post bac program so that i can erase my crappy grades from freshman year.

Penn has 2 programs, Pre health and Special Science. If you have taken a fir amount of med pre recs, you're eligible for the special science. It is much less competetive than pre - helth which is for top notch students who have not taken the sciences. You'll get into Special science. It worked for me. I had similar undergrad GPA and after 9 classes with all A's, I got into med school.

Peace
