Hi everyone! I’m so grateful to have been accepted to both Tufts and UPenn. I am debating between the two as an IS student for Tufts. Here are some of my questions
- What is the curriculum like? During the blocks at UPenn, are there tests every week or is it one big midterm and final?
- For students at UPenn, do you enjoy having blocks compared to multiple classes at once? What are the disadvantages/advantages?
- Is there an international program? If so, is it popular?
- How is the surrounding area near campus? What do you do for fun?
- What does a first year schedule look like?
- Do you get a lot of hands-on experience or is that hard to get? Do you start hands-on experience the first year?
- What is the advantage of having 2 clinical years instead of 1 (for UPenn)?
- What are some of the didactic electives at UPenn?
- What are some of the selectives (during years 1-2) and electives (during clinicals) at Tufts?
- Do you feel you are supported and are able to manage your stress?
- How are clinical rotations graded? Is it pass/fail or letter grades?
