To those who received invites:

Did you receive any specifics about the interview, like arrival time and/or itinerary?

I'm hoping to at least get an interview there and would like to plan - but I feel like my stats are lame compared to everyone else I've seen. Boo 🙁
 
They give you an itinerary, hotel guide with one deal that was really good (I think $149 a night if you say you're touring Penn), a guide to philly, and the interview invite letter with the details of who to call and where to forward your transcripts to.
 
I got an interview at UPENN today as well!

I just mailed out my secondary yesterday! after sitting on for two months, it only took me five hours to do it.

Should I expect to receive a notification that it's received/ change on AADSAS? If so, how long after wards to get an interview? Thanks!

No change on AADSAS! Penn will snail mail you a confirmation letter saying that they have received everything and will review your application with utmost consideration.

1. That seems really late! Why did you delay so much?

2. They don't update AADSAS, but will keep in contact with you via snail mail

1) Laziness on my part. :slap:I hope I didn't shot myself in the foot and get relegated to post-December interview...
2) How long after you receive that mail do people get invites (if at all)?

Oh I was referring to the letter the others mentioned telling you that your application is complete. Which three letters did you get? I only got the viewbook and a letter telling me that my secondary was missing.

I got the view book, the app complete, and what was missing. I counted the view book as a letter because there was a letter in it, srry for the confusion.

My application complete letter was sent 7/28. Check the ***Official Whateverwhatever*** thread to see when people got their invite relative to the app complete letter.
 
i currently live in cali and got a penn interview last week. i was away from home and got back today. 7/22 mailing date. but i'm not a cali resident, i don't know if that matters . . .

They are a private school, state of residence shouldn't matter.
 
I sent my supplemental way late (like I mailed it 10 days ago) and today I got a letter from Penn saying "thank you for your interest" and that my application is now complete. Does that mean I didn't have good enough stats for an interview or they haven't reviewed my app yet? I guess it's confusing because it seems that it was mailed at the same time as the first batch of interview invites.

It means they received your supplemental that you finally sent in. I'm sure it doesn't indicate rejection.
 
My interview is also in October...Best of luck to all of you September ppl...please share your experience after your interview....
