uploading lectures on ipod?

Hi, I am a novice with gadgets,
i got myself an ipod to listen to lectures on the go,
but have no idea how to upload video lectures on to them.
does anyone here have any suggestions?

I've had pretty good luck with a free program called Jodix. It's a video converter that can convert most any file into an ipod compatible type, resolution, etc. Selectable quality settings, and so far it hasn't had a problem with any file I've fed to it.

I'm assuming you want to end up w/ an mp3, but what type of file are you starting with?

Mediacoder is another free swiss army knife type of converter that will convert just about anything to anything. And it's free.

i really didnt understand how to go about doing this,
My lecture files are in the MPG and AVI format,
ANyone can guide me step by step , as to how to uplaod these files on to my ipod?

Don't have an ipod, so I can't really walk you through it. You did you see the media coder ipod edition? This should be *almost* drag and drop...

Hi,Thanks everyone for your replies,
Ok , i managed to upload the videos onto my ipod
But i have one questiion, can i pause and then drag back (like, just a bit , to listen to the last sentence once more) and listen to my videos like i used to listen to them with my windows media player or my DiVX player.
Is it posibble to do that.

I have tried a few controls on the ipod but it doesnt work that way.

Thanks dizzle69,but i'm not listening to that right now,
i'm viewing my physio lectures and want to be able to rewind the last sentence when i need to,like i do with my 'Windows Media Player' on the computer.
Anyone else here know how to do this,or if its even possible to do with an ipod?
