Hey everyone,
I just took AAMC FL2 and was really upset at how it went because this test essentially predicts your score and I’m testing in 2 weeks.

I got a 514 (130/125/131/128)

I was confused because 2 months ago I took AAMC FL1 and also got a 514 (129/125/130/130). After that, I did all of UWorld and started AAMC CARS QPacks for practice.

CARS QPack 1 78%
3/4 done CARS QPack 2- 84%

I was expecting above a 520 given my practice tests on NS which I took over the past 2 months:

NS1 513 (129/127/129/128)

NS2 514 (129/127/129/129)

NS3 without CARS ~513/514 (129/__/129/129)

NS4 510 (128/126/128/128) Made lots of dumb mistakes here; think I wasn’t focused

AAMC FL1 Retake: 527 (131/132/132/132) I think I just remembered all the right answers from when I took it before

Everyone generally said that 512+ on NS is a strong indicator of 520+, but today’s felt like ****. CARS was long/confusing and psych/soci felt extremely vague. Just did not feel sharp today at all, felt blunt. I’m pretty upset and was wondering if anyone has any advice or had a similar experience to this. My NS 1-5 average was 511ish.

513-514-515 on AAMC 1-3. Retook them 3 months later and got 524/526/526

517 on actual exam.

My advice is to keep grinding. Imo once you get to 515ish all the Uworld in the world won't help, the number of questions right between a 515 and 520 could be as little as 5 across the entire exam. Some of it is luck, some of it is just knowing niche things.
