i may get flamed for this, but does anyone else feel like crying, actually crying or throwing their computers through a window when they read threads like

"accepted!! which school should i pick?" or the variant "school X vs. school Y?? i cant decide!"
"ugh so many interviews!! on so many waitlists!!"
"JUST a 37T mcat?"

seriously. i know i'm a bitter reapplicant (probably) but it feels like these threads are slapping me in the face. its not like i have ****ty grades or stuff.. or i could, you know, just not open open threads like these from now on. ; )

to those who got nadda this cycle: i salute you. keep chuggin.

thank you for the kind words. sorry i was letting off much-needed steam.. you are right, we all want it, just wish there was enough room for all of us.

I was in your place one year ago. Last year I was rejected everywhere with no interviews. It was a bleak time in my life. I did get accepted this year and will be starting school in a few months.

Don't give up hope yet. Try not to view SDN as much as you can (I know it's hard). And start thinking of ways to strengthen your app for the next cycle and get a plan in place. :luck:

What FuturePittMed said. I got no interviews my first time and felt hopeless, but after 2 years of work I have my first interview. Even if I don't get in this year I know it's only a matter of time until I can start fresh and be at the top of my class.

There's a light at the end of the tunnel. I was feeling pretty damn depressed myself just from all the people I knew who were getting accepted (not even going to talk about the type-A "3.995 GPA, ARE MY HARVARD DREAMS RUINED???" freaks on this site) but the second I got a positive response (as you will eventually) that weight lifted from my shoulders.

The one thread that is always an encouragement on SDN is the "underdog thread" from tips to accounts of rejection to acceptance, and just plain good-old-fashion support. I know those post make me feel "I wish I had those problems" But I always try to think it could be worse. Not to mention last year I went to an interview where they said that re-applicants are looked at more favorably because perseverance and determination is the one thing that could not be easily evaluated from an applicant coming straight from school.
