I got a letter from Upstate saying they are putting my application "ON HOLD"

does ON HOLD= Rejection, but we are too pu$$y to say so or purgatory?

anyone...anyone...?...
I can't be the only one who has ever gotten this

last year upstate said that they took some people off hold, to be interviewed. however, i know a few people that were put on hold, and nothing came of it. they got their rejection notices in april or so.
i know it's not much of a help, but it's just the way it is...
good luck

it's cool, thanks guys

hi
im waiting for upstate too, the last time i called they said that they are reviewing my application and will hear within a week. just wondering if i have even chance...whats your stats if you dont mind you can pm it to me...thanks...

I too am on hold at Upstate, the waiting game commences. Haven't heard from anyone else though.

on hold means you weren't selected for an interview now. They'll probably look at your application again, and maybe select you for an interview (or not). So it's worse than a pure interview invite... but then again, you weren't rejected.

dude being on hold isnt too great.
sure you have a CHANCE of getting an interview when they review you again, but the fact of the matter is that even though there are some people that get off this list to get an interview...for the most part, if they hold you, then they will be able to find someone better than you to interview. almost like an early rejection. so i wouldnt put TOO much hope into any of these. and if you get off...awesome.

last cycle i was put on HOLD at i think around 4-6 schools...and got rejected in the end from all of them.

thanks, I know it will probably end up a rejection, but at least it's better than a flat REJECTION
