Which of the foll is a distinguishing characteristic of the mandi lateral incisor?

a) The incisal edge follows the arch curvature in relation to the facioligual axis
or
d) The incisal edge is lingual to the root bisector

both r given as characteristics of lateral incisor in kaplan review material!! (pg 780)

both the statements are correct.
one statement talks about the mesial or the distal view and the other talks about the incisal view.

i may not b able to explain very well but the most plausible explanation fr this could b----------- as they asked abt the distinguishing feature of mand lat inc , the second option doesnt fit much bcz only disto incisal edge is lingual in position not mesial and as they aske d abt jus incisal edge, i feel option no. a is more convincing. hope u got my point.

It should be D as incisal edge is lingual but it does not follow the arch curvature in regard to faciolingual axis the distal is offset if u look in kaplan and wheelers too
