I thought URM status is given special consideration if one were to have 3.5 or lower and MCAT or 30 or lower??? Am I missing something or is the person who said that just a hater? Why do people on here keep contradicting what others say? Maybe I should just get off SDN

Well, if you look at the statistics, at lower (and even high ones, in some cases) GPA/MCAT combination, a higher percentage of URM's get accepted when compared to the Caucasian and Asian groups.
