So I figured I start this thread to find out how URM application cycle, interviews, and etc. is going. This is not a thread to debate the "URM" topic. It's just a place to talk about medicine and anyone URM or Non-URM can chat. 🙂

Being a URM helps (my momma is half black-half hispanic and my pops is a white Jew so I guess this qualifies me?), but its people like me that continue to give us our good name. Truman Finalist, Udall, Goldwater, Goldman, NSF/NIH, etc.... and soon to be Rhodes Scholar

I've wiped out every ORM in every scholarship I've applied for and these scholarships don't judge based on ethnicity. So I'm not just getting the Minority Fellowships and awards (which to my account are numerous) but the national ones.

Give me a year and a 34+ MCAT and I'll be landing 'em interviews and taking up seats. Only problem will be attending all of the interviews when I'm with chicks in Europe...and then deciding which seat I actually want.
