US Rotations

I have recently applied to UCD, Trinity and NUI. I was wondering if anyone had any first (or second) hand knowledge of US clinical rotations available to students of these schools. I am also curious to learn how malpractice insurance is handled, etc.

The Irish colleges provide insurance, so that is not a worry when trying to arrange your electives. Each school does have "connections" for electives, however these may be very sparse. I'd suggest going to the medical office as soon as you arrive and put your name on a waiting list. Most people end up arranging their own, which can be a frustrating experience as a lot of electives require step 1 scores and require that you be in final year.
