  1. Pre-Physical Therapy

I have a quick question regarding PT programs. I'm currently a pre-physical therapy student at the University of Oakland in Michigan. I was doing some research on schools to apply for and I realized that in Canada PT is currently a Masters program rather then a doctorate program? ( I live 45 minutes from the boarder) I truly feel I can get accepted into PT school in Michigan, but the thought of not having to waste more time pursuing a doctorate seems appealing. Does anyone have any knowledge on going to school in Canada? How would I transfer a US credit? Also if I receive a masters in Canada can I still get a job as a PT in the US? Any help is greatly appreciated thank you!

As long as the program is CAPTE accredited. Good luck gaining acceptance to Canadian schools, as they tend to not accept international students without coming from a partnership institution.

You need permanent residency or Canadian citizenship, which I believe is next to impossible to establish if your only plan is PT school.

So they most likely wouldn't accept me if I was commuting? (Yes from the US to Canada)
