Is anyone applying for an Air Force AEGD-1 program this year? How competitive are these programs, and what are the chances of getting your #1 choice. For example, if I wanted to do a program at Bolling AFB, DC?

I completed my AEGD-1 last year at Wright-Patt. It was the most rewarding year professionally i have ever had. The program is competative, but there are a lot (62 last year at 11 bases) of spots. Our patients have no financial obligation, so you can provide optimal tx.

Wright-Patt was my second choice, but most of my fellow residents got their 1st. Make sure you interview IN PERSON. This will help a great deal. Let me know if you have any questions.
