Hi guys,

I'm a high school senior stuck between attending either the University of Southern California or Washington Univ. in St. Louis for pre-med/biology next year. USC is offering about $15,000/year more than WashU (I received a half-tuition scholarship to USC), and I think it's likely that I'll be accepted to a science honors program at USC (smaller classes and cool extracurricular opportunities, though the program is only for freshman year).

From what I've read, WashU is more well known for its pre-med program than USC, but I think the gap may be narrowing with the recent rise of USC. I've also seen that WashU pre-med's med school acceptance rate is almost 20% higher than USC's (though I've been warned against reading too much into these numbers). I've been leaning towards USC for a few reasons, so my question is if there's a great enough divide between the pre-med/natural science programs at the two schools to warrant serious reconsideration.

Thanks in advance!

i would go with usc. it will be cheaper, and i also heard that wash u premed scene is one in which dropping premed is super high. same also applies at usc, but not to the same degree as wash u.

If you're leaning towards USC, then do it! I mean USC is even willing to give you more money too ^-^.
