has anyone submitted their application to USC yet? have you heard anything?

i submitted mine at end of August, but I've only gotten an email with the prereq checklist. what about you guys? what else have you heard? i'm worried because i think they contact us via email and it's so easy to miss them with spam and all.

what have u guys heard?

I never got an email with the prereq checklist, but I did get a confirmation email with the "Supplemental Application and Document Acknowledgement
Form." That's all I've heard though. I also submitted my secondary in early August.

I submitted my application back in July and received periodic emails about the pre-req checklist. In September I received an email with the checklist stating that my application was finally complete. My application number is 13XX too.

If you are selected for an interview you will be notified by mail approximately
2-3 weeks before one of the following interview dates: Nov. 18, 2006, Jan. 20, 2007, Feb. 10, 2007, March 17, 2007

I think so.

By the way, USC requirements annoy. They make you take everything! If you satisfy USC requiements you satisfy every Pharm School's requirements lol.

i know people think their file number corresponds with what order their applicant was received. I just have to ask, has anyone confirmed this? or did someone just assume it and everyone else kept with it?

Are there any people with file numbers less than 1000?
btw, my number is 13XX too. what if the numbers start at 1000? what if it's a ranking on your gpa?
you guys are freaking me out. 😱

I'm confused though because I got an e-mail saying...

"Thank you for your interest in the USC School of Pharmacy Doctor of
Pharmacy program. Please give your file number when calling for a status check.

Your application packet is complete."

Then it said...

"Your application packet is incomplete. The following CHECKED items are
missing"

Then it had my transcripts checked, which might be possible because I sent it near the end of September as well, but it was just weird becuase it said it was complete.. then it said it was incomplete.. 😕

i honestly don't know how they rank people. I sent my pharmcas probably a week or two before I sent my supplemental.

it seems as though so far, i have the highest number in his forum.

I think all the emails are computer generated or probably have the same template, except your file number and the courses you're missing. Mine is 14XX and they received everything by September 15th.

hmm that is odd and unconsistent. my file number is 15XX. my supp app and pharmcas was received by aug 30 and i received by file # by sept 7

someone should call to clarify ...b4 we continue to make falso assumptions and freak out.🙂

I'm glad this is an anonymous forum.. because I want to say, the people who answer phones at USC are the least friendly of the two other schools I am applying to and have called (UOP and Touro). Nothing horrendous, just not that nice.

And I'm always paranoid they remember my voice if I call too often lol... which I know is NOT the case. But honestly, the lady at PharmCAS I swear she remembered me because I kept calling and e-mailing about a missing transcript. Anyway.. sorry for the OT. 😳

yes... i called about the same question and that's the answer i received.

I know you are supposed to send transcripts to pharmcas and they forward them off to the schools you are applying to. But did you send your transcripts directly to USC? It seems redundant but I know that USC requires that you send a copy of your transcript directly to USC. maybe that's why you have an X by transcript.

so just to save you the embarrassment of yelling at the pharmcas people about your missing transcript at USC.

I had an aunt who yelled at the hostess at a restaurant who did not keep her reservations. Turned out she called the wrong restaurant to make the reservations.

I think I read somewhere that pharmcas doesn't forward the transcripts? not sure if it's true, though...sometimes i feel like i worried too much...especially when these things aren't delivered on time.

Then u'r probably missing one of your transcripts. i remember sending all 5 of my transcripts to USC ... what a waste of money... damn USC.
