I was just accepted to USC's School of Dentistry (!) and am trying to decide if I should send my deposit to USC and cancel an interview I have for Monday at BU (need to cancel that asap if so).

My fiance and I eventually want to end up in California, so the California schools were my top choice. And I love Los Angeles. Do you see any reason why I should go to BU?

From what I've read on SDN, it seems uncertain if we're interviewing for an actual/waitlist spot at BU, and apparently they're interviewing 1000 people this year?

It's midterm week for me, so I'm not sure if it's even worth the time to visit BU if I'm certain about USC. And of course, I'd like to give someone else a chance to go if I've already made my decision.

The only concern I have about USC is their PBL curriculum (which is quite a big concern, actually). I'm not sure how I'll do with an unstructured curriculum like this. I am also terrible at giving presentations (which from what I gather from the triple jump component is partially how you're graded).
I'm not so worried about the getting myself motivated to work aspect. I'm just concerned that I won't have as strong of a grasp on how to do well in a course as I would with a didactic curriculum. I do hope to consider specializing, so I'd like to be confident that I can do well.

Any thoughts? Thanks so much!

bu is that Baylor? If you're not sure of the PBL Don't GO to USC. I personally LOVE it! it is totally 100% for me!!!! You may not be the same. If you are a religious person... pray about it. If not, serious think, can I success with only going to class a couple of hours a week? If not, seriously reconsider. Good luck.

Thanks bbakersc. Haha, I'll consider praying about it.

And I was referring Boston University when I mentioned BU.
