Hi,

I was recently accepted to USC and I am a little concerned about PBL. If any of you go to USC, how much reading is required?

I am not a very fast reader and think this may hurt me if I choose to attend. Can any of you give me insight on what will be excepted of me at USC.

I have always done great in undergrad, but didn't need to read a lot and used mostly power points to study from.

You will be fine don't worry, the frats have packets that organize the info so you can be prepared for the tests. You won't sink in PBL, it's hard to do. The first semester i'd say 3-4 hours twice a week of reading outside of class time for PBL and as you get more used to it that number will decrease greatly. You will be expected to make (copy paste summarize and cite) a 5 page learning need on a subject and then email it to your group, your other 7 group members will email it to you, you will be expected to read it before you attend your next session. (Or at least the summaries)
