USC financial aid (???!!!)-- please help

If anybody can help me out here, that would be great. During my interview date, we were running behind schedule, so we didn't get an official orientation/FA talk.

I'm a big-time procrastinator, but I decided to start working on my FA materials today. When I opened up my USC SOM FA Handbook yesterday, I saw that the deadline for the FAFSA and the Supplemental FA form was 2/28/02.

HOWEVER, today, when I was looking through the USC SOM FA Application (red booklet), I noticed that these items are under a bold headline: "By February 15, 2002." What confuses me, though, is that the deadlines are still 2/28. It says this regarding the FAFSA: "completed online or paper application must recevied at the processor, using USC's federal school code, 001328, by the deadline of midnight EST on 2/28/2002." So what's with the "By Feb 15, 2002" line? Is it just a recommendation? Does it take 2 weeks before FAFSA is transmitted from the central processing center to the individual schools?

Hellz, I didn't even get a friggin sheet telling me about financial aid...i swear, USC is VERY unorganized!

I didnt like USC at all....in fact, we didnt have a financial/aid planning tour, and I had to stay on CAMPUS

for 2 freaking hours between interviews...

this was my plan guys

get there at 8:00
sit in class, wait for 2 hours
1st interview
wait 2 more hours
lunch tour
wait 4 hours 😛 😛
then 2nd interview 10 minutes late!!!!

at the end I was like 😡 😳

I'm not coming here

ok, I go to usc as an undergrad and this is how it goes. Their financial aid deadlines are universial throughout all the campuses. File your FAFSA and PROFILE as soon as possible. THe actual deadline is March 2nd or something like that. It is the beginning of march though. They put feb 15th so that it allows time for your mail to get to wherever it needs to be by March 2nd. So don't worry, Just file this week.
