i haven't been accepted yet...only interviewed...but, in the case that i do get accepted, i would like to find cool people to share a really nice apartment with at the medici. check it out on the web...it's called THE MEDICI apartments...they are very nice and luxurious

I'm accepted and going to usc. I went to USC as a undergrad. And after living in south central for 4 years, I would like to move to west LA. But realistically, the commute just isn't worth it.

The neighborhood is relatively safe. I only heard of one student getting murdered my 4 years here. He was drunk, his friends dropped him off at a liquor store at 2 AM so he could get more alcohol. Someone shot him and took his money. The usual is just, 1studentmugging/week and a couple sexual assalts/year. We have a "Crime Roundup" every thursday in the Daily Trojan reporting crimes that occurred and frequent email updates. Most of them seem to occur at 100 to 150 on the east side of Orchard Avenue, between 29th Street and Adams Boulevard. One student had his throat slashed/robbed right outside of his apartment door. These things happen, but you never think its going to be you. Plus, the odds of being robbed are real slim.

I think you should move near USC. Its not as bad as people make it out. Congrats, fellow trojan.

ummmm......

Congrats class of 2010! I'll be right there with you for the ride. I am actually livin in brentwood, which is bad ass, but I was also thinking about movin into the medici. They are extraordinary and good for USC students. It would be cool tho if we could get a batch of 4 cool dudes to live in an apt. together. I basically live by ever so popular work hard play hard mentality. haha. Can't wait to start!

How far are the Medici Apts. from campus? Are they in a decent part of the city?

H to the Izzy what up?!

hey neighbor, i live on santa monica and barrington. i checked out the medici apt. website, and that **** is expensive! on top of tuition, i'm not sure i wanna fork out a grand for rent every month - right now i pay 700. looks nice, though. were you thinking of sharing bedrooms?

hey, it's near downtown.. google map this address:

725 South Bixel Street los angeles 90017

not too far from campus, and i'm thinking of driving by to check out the area even though i'm not feelin the cost of rent. i might check out some places in silverlake, too.

wassssup....Yea, it's kinda expensive, but like you said, you could share a room which most def. reduces rent a lot. The complex is amazing though..pool,gym,security,parking, all of the goodies. On top of that, it is packed with SC students which makes for a cool environment. Silverlake huh?? That would quite a long commute!!
