Hi! Is anyone applying to the new hybrid program at USC? Tuition is the same as regular which is kind of making me hesitant to follow through with the application.

I applied on Monday, so I could get it in for their early application deadline. It is expensive, but I live so cheaply in Phoenix I won't actually have to finance my life for 3 years (something I'd have to do if I relocated). They have rolling admission for the Hybrid program, so getting the app in soon will increase chances of acceptance.

Have you been accepted at other schools?

I applied a few weeks ago. My application was completed and sent to faculty for review before the Presidents’ Day holiday but have not heard from them since. Have you heard anything?

I haven't heard yet. I'm a bit behind you as I'm still waiting for my app to be sent to faculty because they haven't received my GRE scores yet. Good luck to you!

I turned in my application on the day of the deadline few weeks ago so still too early to hear anything, but I'm still frantically checking my emails daily. I know it's rolling admissions so hopefully their roster space isn't too filled up just yet.

USC is on Spring Break until the 18th so we definitely won’t hear from them this week. Try to take this time to unplug and not check your email constantly. Stay sane my friend!

Thanks.

Does anyone know the general steps of the application, is it the admissions team that make the first advances/cuts based on each programs requirements, which then gets sent to the faculty to review and finalize decisions?

The admissions team makes sure your application is fully complete before sending it over to a faculty committee for review. Not quite sure if the admissions team plays a role in the decision.

I'm curious if anyone has heard any movement from the Hybrid program. Originally I was told for applicants who met the Feb 19th deadline that a decision would been made in a month, but then they had difficulty accessing GRE scores so not sure if that has slowed down the process.

I know I'm a long shot but I have had my fingers crossed since Feb 19th, so hopefully I dont lose my fingers for nothing

I just received a call on Monday telling me that my application has finally been sent to faculty (because of the GRE issue). They said there would be a decision late-April at the latest, but most likely within the next two weeks.

I received that call too and at first I got super excited thinking it was an acceptance call since I know that's how USC does it.

I received a call from admissions today, got my acceptance! Let me know if anyone else got in, should start a group.

Just got wait-listed for the hybrid program yesterday. I applied early decision in February

Ohh okay, thank you for the update.

Anyone on the waiting list hear back from the hybrid DPT?

For anyone accepted/waitlisted, do you mind sharing stats?
