Also got an interview invite last Friday - thought you might be interested to know (I was) that they said their class in only half full.

I got an invite last friday too...
From what i hear, you shouldn't worry about the interview...there won't be a one-on-one interview and you won't be asked any personal questions...it'll be a pbl (just like their program) interview...they just wanto see how u interact with the rest of the group, I guess
I'm having my interview pretty soon so I'll let u know how it goes after i'm done...

I got an inite last friday too. Besides PBL interview, I have one-on-one personal interview as well since I had invited for interview last 2006 cycle. Is anyone have the same situation or hear any experience from friends? Please share with me. Thanks........

One of my current classmates had the same interview experience last year and he said that it was very relaxed.....the one-on-one interviewer basically asked him like one question, i think it was "is USC your first choice?" or something like that, and that was about it. I dont know if thats the case for everyone's interviews but he said it wasn't stressful at all. Hope this helps!

Hiiii!!! Welll...I was in the same boat as you...interviewed last year but didn't get in and had a personal interview this year and GOT IN!!!! The personal interview is really chill...after you do all the other activities, you go on a personal interview. It was really relaxed...just asked me what i've done to improve my application since last year, if i've interviewed anywhere else/why go to USC then...What's ur first choice? why dental school...she asked me pretty typical questions....anyways GOOOOODLUCCKKKKK!!! Hope to see you as a TROJAN too as wellll.

im still waiting to get an interview, i interviewed last year in march and got waitlisted. and i got that status letter from sc like 2 weeks ago, how much longer does it take for an interview after that letter?

I interviewed last Thursday and mine says "Invited for Interview".

I'm still waiting also. Mine says "no status". I heard from another member the status does change and usually you get a letter in the mail saying your application is under critical review which is the last level. After that if your granted an interview I guess you get an invite? I'm sure someone else can elaborate.

Really? Did you try calling them? Guess there is no pattern? Wish we could figure this out.

And said that these are the last ones being offered. Just wanted to share the info.

I called and signed up for the 5th.

I've already sent a deposit elsewhere, but the opportunity to stay in SoCal beckons...

Any tips on the interview here? a little practice pbl, eh? haha

I would too; but my family & friends are all in socal. And i keep hearing about how "it doesn't matter where you went to dschool" and it makes sense to me; how many ppl can say what school their dentist went to?

also, sc connects me to a vast alumni network here in socal and keeps me near enough to hear about any openings for practices later.

caught between wanting to live in another part of the states for a bit and staying near support...

we'll, we'll see if I even get in first...
