hey everyone,

for those of you who already had interviews at UOP or USC, how soon after the interview did you hear back from them? and how did you hear back from them- via mail, email, etc.?

I will be checking my mail daily with my fingers crossed 😀

Thanks!
Tami

Within 3 weeks or so for USC. A few students will be admitted while the vast majority will be put on the active waiting list. USC accepts the majority of its students in April when they are done with the interviewing process.

for UOP, I think we'll hear back about a month ... I think their admission committee will meet next week or so .... their first meeting this year (2005) .... they'll send their notifications via snail mail I think

Particularly strong applicants are accepted about 4 weeks after the interview, but if you don't hear by then that doesn't mean you've been rejected. Everyone else is reviewed again and a final decision is made by April I believe, at least that was the procedure last year. Both USC and UOP have fairly similiar application schedules.

I received my letter of acceptance to UOP 3 weeks after the interview.

oh really ... I heard someone was put on the wait-list about 4 weeks after her interview ... so I guess at least, they would tell you something????

If you don't receive an acceptance or rejection after about 4 weeks, I think it's safe to assume you're on the waiting list. If you haven't heard anything in 4 weeks, go ahead and call the admissions office. They are really nice over there and I'm sure they would update you on their status. I really don't think they email you or mail you anything if you're put on a waiting list. Plus you have to remember that pre-pharmacy students that attend UOP are not told of their status until May or June, and there are quite a few pre-pharmacy applicants within UOP already, so the admissions office has a lot to try to balance. But they are very helpful when you have any questions.

Don't forget to post your acceptance in the Roll Call thread if you've decided to attend UOP. 🙂

I'm already attending UOP (Business School) since I'm in the PharmD/MBA program.
