I feel like the interview at USC is really just to see if you will fit into their teaching style. If anything, its a way for you to expose yourself to PBL and see if that form of teaching is for you because you will literally be doing that "interview process" throughout your time at USC. I would say to just try to be very corroborative with the group you are placed in and do not feel like you have to contribute more than another interviewee. Try to work together and come to a conclusion. The scenario that they give you to assess is completely random so there really is no way to prepare for it. Its also good to note that they are not looking for you to get the right answer. Its not a make it or break it test. Whether you correctly solve the situation or not does not mean you get accepted. Just be yourself and show them you are okay with working with others.
everyone's gonna act like PBL is their thing. You can either play along, or be yourself.
I am not saying those people that say emphatically "I love PBL" will not get in but just know that interviews already know that most students are saying that just to get in. So express your interest in other ways. Don't just sugar coat it for them.
