USC Status Change?

Hi, has anyone checked their status for USC (through the school's website) and had their status changed from "interview" to "alternate?" What does "alternate" mean????? Does that mean "not accepted" and placed on waiting list??? This waiting game is putting me through such agony!

If you think the word alternate = not accepted, then you either cannot read English or you're just....nevermind.

What I mean is "not accepted" for Dec.1 and placed on waitlist for next round...if u read the rest of the sentence in my original post...

Hey!

Don't worry about it. They change everyone's status from interview to alternate after you attend your interview. It does not mean that an official decision has been made so don't worry just yet =) Hope that helps

USC's method is everyone who's interviewed becomes wailisted (or alternate, same thing), then Dec.1 it's changed to officially accepted, waitlisted, etc.
i.e. we're all alternate right now

Yea sorry to OP...USC is probably going to accepted a small portion of their class on dec. 1st. Everyone is still going to be an alternate for a position in the class. They do not reject anyone Dec. 1st. Everyone is ranked on a list and they will select from that list as time goes on.
