I would choose Temple (cause I did 😀). It is relatively cheap, you can excel at didactics if you want too, you have more clinical opportunities than 99% of the other dental schools, and the teachers, for the most part, really do try to help you succeed. There is no abuse here. You have every opportunity to graduate as prepared to be a dentist as you can possibly be. They have even let me bring in newer materials into the pre-clinic to try them out and would discuss pros/cons of them with and then they would give me their opinion on what is best, but always told me I would have to decide as a dentist what is best for me. They give you multiple ways to do the procedures and tell you to figure out what works best for you.
I would totally go to Temple. Yes, the area sucks, and yes you have to make a porcelain crown (a completely worthless thing to do) but, every school has it goods and bads, and in my opinion, you can't do much better than Temple for a good overall experience and a great clinical experience.
