usc?

Does anyone know whats going on with usc?...are they still interviewing more people or are things pretty much set right now...my aadsas printout was mailed out on september 15th and i have only gotten one letter from them saying that they received my application...

I think they're still interviewing because they sent me a letter a couple weeks ago saying something to the effect that I should hang in there and they'll get to me. There wasn't much information in it.

are u a in-state applicant?
 
yea...more like in-city applicant...west la area...do u guys think that it means my chances are low right now since i haven't gotten one single letter from them since september?

It doesn't matter. USC is a private school. At least half of the people that interviewed at USC when I was there were from outside of California. USC does most of their interviews and acceptences in the spring...or that's what I was told by the admissions staff. A student I had lunch with said he didn't even get an interview until Marchish and didn't get accepted until April. Hope this helps.
 
thanx for the input...does anyone kno if usc looks at gpa more or dat scores more?...

I think that they look at GPA more, then DAT scores (that's what an admissions committee member said)

theres a dental stat page if you check the search, and it says that USC entering class of 2003 (i think, maybe 2004) had about 119 instate ppl and about 30 out of staters

because lots of in-state people like to stay in the state. it has little to do with their preference for accepting in-state students.
