When do they let us know if we got accepted?

I heard by December 1 somewhere, but does that mean don't even check until then or has it been before that in past years?

whoever is the contact person on the abstract submitted should be notified around thanksgiving from what i recall. I think officially it might be dec 1, but I remem getting notified before that during the past few years.
