I got a call from USCF via e mail
The interviews are from Oct 19 - 22
Good luck to everyone

My stats....I dont want to reveal exact numbers(I am sorry) NBDE 1 in the mid 80's
NB2 in the early 80's, GPA upwards of 3.75, TOEFL over 105

I dint get in Pacific

I also got interview call from UCSF today through email.
So excited. But I have problem on the schedule.
The U Mich interview is Oct 20th-21st, UoP interview is Oct. 22-23 qas ppl told me.
Now UCSF is Oct 19th-22. Guess I will have to give up either one or two of them depending on which one I will go.
Here is my stats
Part1 86 new pattern
Part2 81
TOEFL 108
GPA 3.01
An MS degree from US. Several journal papers on dental research. Recommendation letters from the dean and chair of the dental school I'm currently in.

Pacific's orientation on Wed starts in the evening like after 4 :30 or so

really? That will be nice. Then I will reject UMich and go for the two SF school. Too bad I already booked the flight to Umich. $340 non refundable!

A friend of mine had gone to Pacific last year and she told me so.😀
She also said that when you get hard copy of the invite letter, the schedule will be on it too. Dont know if they change this year🙄😕😀

congrats guys and yes u can attend both UCSF and UOP it happened like this last year too...thr was no problem, both of schhols staff knew it and were very helpful and receptive abt it.

If it doesnt work at all give Ms.Mary Pham/IDP office a call
Basically you have to RSVP to confirm your attendance by Oct 3rd and send in $350 as exam fees by Oct 8th to IDP office

And to my best knowledge thats the only interview time 🙂

I inquired with Mary Pham regarding the interview call. She said those who are invited will be informed before the 1st october. So hang on for 1 more day people.
I haven't heard from her as yet.

does anyone have got the package .i don't know whn they will finish on 22 oct so i can make my travel arrangements according to tht.do anyone know wht preparations they will ask in exam?and wht they will do with us for 4 days...making me nervous

last year we had a clash between USC & UCSF,
so better call the school & confirm their dates & times for the interview before finalising flights & hotel accomodations.
also if you decide to ditch some interview , decide very carefully,
for eg. UCSF has a theory exam, a bench test (on a mannikin) & a personal interview too.
i don't understand why these schools can't adjust their interview dates so that a person who has been invited at all places can attend all of them.
after all we paid them dearly for the application itself
isn't it???

also can u plz tell me abt the nearest airport to dental school....oakland or sfo?

Technically SFO is the closest. But if you are getting good rates for Oak land or San Jose (SJC) I suggest you take that. Getting around in the Bayarea is eazy. Look up web site of BART, Cal Train, VTA and Muni (all Public transport rails) and 511.org for more info.

After i sent all my documents to ucsf.....
They said my recomendation letter is missing ... Along with my toefl score....
I sent the toefl score twice....????
I have record of both from the ets.....
What should i do?
They didnt even look into my file.....
M shocked!!!!!
Any help is welcomed

Hi Impaction,

I too faced the same problem with UCSF. I had sent in my recommendation letters alongwith all the documents and today Mary Pham told me that she did not receive my recos and so my file was not even reviewed. She said there's nothing they can do and that I need to reapply next year.

hi..i got to know today that i havent been invited for the interview...luckily i have an interview at UOP.....i wasnt expecting a rejection from UCSF though...my stats were 88/105/3.78....shadowing,research experience,masters in the US etc...dont know what exactly are they looking for in the application....

I request a help from you regarding transit in california........i explored all the sites told by u but got really confused

can u plz guide me if there is any bus service which drops near to the ucsf dental school?

Assuming you get to SFO Airport,

- Going to UCSF from BART. Take the train going towards Pittsburg/Bay Pointe. It needs to go through San francisco, You get off at Civic Center Station. In the same building is the Muni stop, u take N Judah line and get off at Irvine street. This is parallel to dental school. Just walk to school. (I am not sure, but this line may stop right in front of school.)

From OakLand
Take Air Bart(BUS) from airport, then Bart going to Daly City or Millbrae. Stop at civic center and proceed as above.

From SJC it is kinda complicated. Need to change a lot of trains and buses.But if ou truly need to, PM me I'll guide you.

I dont know if you have received the hard copy of the invite letter. They have given maps and some bus routes as well.

As ever please check up what I say. Havent used this system in a while. When in doubt ask a rail employee, driver, etc. They will help you.

Yes they provide all the required instruments.
They ask u/ and L/ full metal crown. They have provided instructions in the hard copy of the invite letter
