Hi everyone,

I have a specific question/request, but if you've found any applications that you find helpful in preparing for the MCAT, feel free to list them here.

I have a a fair amount of free time during many of my days, broken up into periods of 10 minutes or less (mostly centrifuge breaks during experiments). It seems like time that could be used nicely to practice MCAT problems, but I can't haul my books and paper around. I always have my phone on me, however. I've searched, but it seems like many of the MCAT study apps in the app store are textbook-like. There also seems to be a $0.99 full-length practice exam. I'm looking for something like the ExamKrackers "1001 questions" but in application form - where I can just do random problems from various subjects and topics (and ideally, select an answer and have the program tell me whether I was right or wrong, with explanations). Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thank you!

I have bought a few of them. My favorite for content review is MCAT (by Watermelon Express) comprehensive review (all subjects). Great explanations, diagrams. No flash cards though 🙁

I also bought istudy MCAT bio. Pretty basic and just some flash cards (about 100). I think it was like $1 so I guess worth the money

I bought iStudy Molecular Genetics and same thing as above.

I heard the Kaplan one was very overpriced considering what you get...surprise surprise

I used Watermelon express too.

It's great if you just want to recall a small detail that you just need a refresh on. Sometimes, I'd sit in my classroom for some boring elective and just go through the App. Also, I make it a point to breeze through the whole app before I take a practice test just to make sure I got all my bases covered.
