FYI, I'm still a pre-med but really interested in doing Anesthesiology. I might change my mind once I have finished med school but let's not talk about it now.

I have learned from some posts on this forum about USF anesthesiology program being put on probation and there were a lot of other issues going on in that department not too long ago. I went on USF Anesth. web site and it obviously doesn't mention anything about departmental issues and probation. Does anyone know if probation was lifted? Also how good are USF Anesthesiology program? Do/Would they consider DOs(with excellent USMLE scores) for anesthesiology residency?
Again, I am trying to learn as much as I can before I finish med school so I know what to do and where to apply for residency.

Thanks in advance for your help. 🙂

As far as I know, the USF program had its accreditation revoked and was shut down. It's not listed on the AMA's residency database any longer, at least. I'm not aware of any plans to re-open it.

You'll notice that all the lecture schedules and whatnot on the department's residency website are from 2006-07.
